Pickled Garlic, Spicy Salad Fixin’

So simple to make, so versatile to use, you’ll wonder why you haven’t had this in the fridge forever…this recipe shows you how to pickle garlic fast and easy in the kitchen. In the refrigerator, it will stay fresh in the fridge up to 3 months.

Ingredients

garlic bulbs
mustard seeds (1 tablespoon)
peppercorns (1 tablespoon)
water (2/3 cup)
white vinegar (1/3 cup)
salt (1 tablespoon)
sugar (1/4 cup)

Instructions

Start by removing the skins from the garlic bulbs.

Prepare a sterilized jar for the pickled garlic.

In the jar, add the mustard seeds and peppercorns.

Heat up the water in a saucepan until it reaches a boiling point.

Once the water is boiling, add the white vinegar, salt, and sugar to the saucepan.

Stir the mixture until the salt and sugar are fully dissolved.

Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for a few minutes.

While the liquid is still hot, carefully pour it over the garlic in the jar, ensuring that all the garlic cloves are fully covered.

Seal the jar tightly to prevent any air from entering.

Allow the jar to cool down to room temperature.

Once cooled, place the jar in a cool, dark place and let it sit for at least 8 hours to allow the flavors to develop.

After the 8-hour period, the pickled garlic is ready to be used in your favorite dishes.
