Spicy Pickled Radishes, Summertime Salad Refreshment

This video gives you a really quick lesson on how to make spicy pickled radishes with a fresh harvest from my garden… or your garden! So simple, so colorful and so healthy – the perfect way to start a party, all summer long!

Ingredients

radishes
juniper berries
cayenne pepper
bay leaf
1 cup hot water
1/2 cup vinegar
1 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

Wash the radishes really well and trim the tips.

In each jar, add a little bit of juniper berries, cayenne pepper, and a bay leaf.

Pack the jars to the brim with the radishes.

In a separate bowl, combine the hot water, vinegar, sugar, and salt to create the pickling liquid.

Pour the piping hot pickling liquid over the radishes, ensuring they are completely covered.

Seal the jars tightly and allow them to cool.

Let the pickled radishes sit for at least 24 hours before enjoying.
