Almond Butter, Simple & Easy
You’d probably be shocked to see me, a diehard fan of extra virgin olive oil advocating “butter”, but almond butter is a whole different cat. And sometimes, I’d rather enjoy a smooth, creamy smear on toast than a quick handful of almonds straight from a bowl.
It couldn’t be easier to learn how to make almond butter in a food processor. It’s so simple, just takes a few minutes and saves a bunch of money from buying store-bought.
Ingredients
almonds
honey
salt
Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit or 162 degrees Celsius.
2
Spread the almonds on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven for 10 minutes until they are warm and fragrant.
3
Remove the almonds from the oven and transfer to a blender or food processor.
4
Blend the almonds on high speed until they start to break down and become creamy.
5
Add a touch of honey and a dash of salt to the blender.
6
Blend again until the almond butter is smooth and well combined.
7
Transfer the almond butter to a jar or airtight container for storage.
